We should welcome everyone into our country because we are supposed to be the helping nation. When we close the doors we are denying people the opportunity for a better situation. We never REALLY know what someone's life was back in another country or why they want to live in America. We would also not allow people to come in to the country just for a few days to visit their family. For example some of my friends have relatives in other countries, and often their relatives abroad visit them in America. That wouldn't be right denying someone their right to see their family, after all it's family.

There is some people that shouldn't be let into the U.S. There are people that want to start a new life and try to help out their family. So, that why i think we should give the chance to give them a better life, but we should check their back round. They should check up on them and see if they are doing better.

I strongly believe that immigrants should be allowed into America because the United States is known for it's divers cultures and better life all over the world, and who are we to stop that now? If immigrants didn't come to USA we wouldn't be known for the most diverse country in the world.. Even from the old days people came to “America” for better life. No one stopped them then, so why should we now? Also, in school record it shows 97% of the immigrants pass their class with a passing grade or higher. Immigrants does the job that a native-born American wouldn't do. Because of that I really believe that immigrants should be allowed into America.

I believe everyone should be allowed in the US. The United States was started because of the belief that people controlled the government, and was a place to stay safe from a government that's run by fear. Not allowing immigration would be leaving all those who want a better life away from it. It isn't correct to keep people out of a country, because the Earth is for everyone to live in. It isn't correct to judge people by the decisions others have made, because we are all different. It isn't correct to keep people away from happiness, safety, and freedom, because we are all human. Keeping people out of the country would be taking away two important inalienable rights, the right for liberty, and the right for the pursuit of happiness. Banning people out of the US is like saying Americans have never done anything bad, but horrible things like slavery, the Salem witch trials, the Columbine shooting, the Ku Klux Klan, and many more things prove that Americans aren't the most perfect people in the world. Everyone in the world is human, everyone in the world makes mistakes, so everyone in the world deserves the right to be allowed in the US.

Should we freely allow anyone in the country with a possible threat of terrorism?

I think we should let almost every one in. We should check their records and other thing to see if their safe enough to come in.

We shoud let every one in but have to use good judgement,caution,and check their criminal reocrd and if it look like their going to to do anything bad we should check what they were going to do.If they were going to anything as a terrorism attack then we should send them back.

I think we should be extremely cautious on who we let come over in our borders and airlines coming to America from ,certain countries, to immigration. The reason why i think this is because our nation's ever growing illegal immigrant population, foreign drugs, and terrorism rates climbing up at a record tops. I'm not saying completely close down the country, but i am saying we should be cautios about who to let in and from where and for what reason. The border patrol and airlines should triple check each non-US citizen coming into our great nation.

yeah america is a place for people to start a better life and get a freshstart.we should be very cautioned about who we let in though.I also think that if we let someone if they commit a crime we send them back home and they punish them...

I think we should let mostly everyone in.But i think we should look at every persone's recoreds to see if they are criminals or not.

I say, "The more the merrier". I don't really see the problem with having more people in the U.S. Some people complain about immigrants "stealing" jobs, in reality, they just get to them first.

I agree with Ryan the more the merrier but we should be carefule about crazy dudes the want to blow up stuff. Other than that I good because America is a land of new chance and how are we suposse to keep that name if we don't let new people in?

i think they should be. they might have lived in a horrible place and needed to get away. i don't blame them for wanting to go to America one of the best places in the world.

I think that we should let them in because its a great opportunity for them who want to make their career sucess and want to do something.In America its free life and all should be given opportunity to make their life better.But there should be rule of checking everyone past records and be strick before entering anyone on Country.

We shouldn't block non-citizens from coming to the United States because of the concern about terrorists. Although letting people in to United States increases the possibility of terror, it also brings many benefits. First of all, numerous of people who seek to move to US from different countries have a purpose of education. They want to have better and further education in US so that they can contribute to the society. In fact, the government knows that a lot of students from other nations are extremely intelligent and have a potential to become respectful persons who will develop the US as well as the entire world. Second of all, by opening the door of immigration, US can have better and advantageous position in an international commerce. The reason why US is called "a land of opportunity" is that people from all around the world come to the united states and make the opportunities together. In my opinion, together we make better world. Terrorism needs to be taken care by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, not the immigration center. Once again, we should let non-citizens in to the United States because they will contribute to the development of the society.

I do not think that non-U.S. citizen should be allowed in our country. Since 911 we should not allow anyone in our country that is not a U.S. citizen. Terrorism is a huge threat to our country and we cannot take a chance on something happening to our people ever again.

I personally think that we should welcome immigrants to our great country. We have opportunities that some people will never get a chance to have, therefore we should embrace letting new people come in, and giving their families a good and healthy life, where they dont have to worry about slavery and poverty. However, on the other hand we can't just open the gates and let people pour in, we have to worry about terrorist entering have to our country. We also have to worry about our U.S. citizens having jobs to keep their families and them under a roof.

America is the land of freedom and I believe that everyone deserves a chance to live in this country. This country was founded through immigration and we should let these immigrants come and live with us. The likely hood is that they will live a better life with their family. Though with some restrictions applied. The immigrants should be well inspected and searched in order to insure non terrorist acts.

We should allow immigrants to come in. There are many reasons for this. One is that we've allowed immigrants to come here for many centuries, and to suddenly stop wouldn't be right. It's been known to all of the world that the US is a place anyone can come to for a long time, they've all heard that they can come here and start a new life, have freedom. It would make many sad to know that we were no longer allowing immigrants. There are many people out there even now, that want to come to the US to start over again, and try to have a better life. Another reason we shouldn't close our borders is because of family. There are many people here who have families that live in other countries. I myself, have relatives that live in Asia. They come here to visit us sometimes, so if we closed our borders, lots of families would be separated for awhile. Also having immigrants come to our nation allows for them to get jobs and help the economy. Right now not many jobs are available, but that will get better eventually, or so I hope. The USA has always been known for it's diverse culture, so if we stopped allowing immigrants, the USA won't be able to become any more diverse.

I say that we should welcome everyone. I thought that we are suppose to support other countries by helping, not by keeping them away. I think that we should just raise our defences just in case. I think that the people outside of the US is innocent until proven guilty.

The reason I think that there should be imigrants is because America is known for our diversity. I think that its ok to have immigrants as long as the have no criminal records and they are legal. The government should make sure to get their physicals to make sure they aren't intoxicated, are not drug addicts and have no contagious diseases. A criminal background should be done to make sure they aren't terrorists. We have to chek there back ground information.

I think we should accept immigrants. I am an immigrant I came here because my family wanted to live better. Some of the immigrants come withouth documents and othes come with documents, but they all come with the same dream, the dream to have a better life and a better future for their children. We don't have the right to deny that dream.

I think we should let immigrants in to the country. We have let people come in for a long time. To suddenly stop this would make some people very mad, and thats not fair. Now, I believe if they are willing to work and pay their taxes then we should definitly let them in. They say immigrants are taking our jobs. Well, it's because they actuatlly want to work and they got the job. That proves they are willing to be apart of this country. Now I also believe that if they do not want to pay taxes and work they shouldn't be here. But we can't have it both ways. We either let them in or kick them out. Forcing people who want to be here out isn't right.
